The Story of My Blog:

The day was June 28, 2011; It was a cool, crisp night (in my air conditioned home). As I lied upon a couch thinking of what do with my life, an idea slapped me across the face. Having been born a Pisces, I was blessed with a creative mind. I’ve always enjoyed writing and have had created previous blogs, so I was not new to blabbing on the internet; But never did I think I wanted to make a blog about my school…

I had just finished up my freshman year at Mizzou and was eager to share all that I learned about the college lifestyle. So, the idea of “True to Mizzou” was to provide REAL information to incoming freshmen from someone who just went through what they were soon to experience.

Little did I know though, was that the summer of 2011 would be the start to the greatest Mizzou blog via Tumblr to ever grace the inter-web. Months passed and I worked tediously to find new and entertaining news about our beautiful school to share with the community. Followers began to rack up and support for the blog was (and still is) very high. I still get a silly grin every time someone comes to me to ASK a question about MU, and believe me I try my best to answer it. I really am passionate about this University.

While this blog has moved much more beyond being a source for just incoming freshmen, it makes me very proud to see how much this has developed. Now over one year old, I am extremely happy to have my name associated with this blog. For as long as I am a student here, I hope I maintain the drive to write, and make you proud to be a Tiger. Godspeed.
